God's Got You

I know many of you are hurting, anxious, and even afraid right now. You’ve heard the announcements — that SNAP and WIC benefits may be cut off next month. For many, these programs have been a lifeline — a way to feed your children, your elderly parents, and yourself in difficult times. And now, the thought of losing that help feels terrifying.

But before fear takes root, I want you to take a deep breath and remember who our Provider truly is.

The Bible declares in Philippians 4:19,

“And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

That promise was not made by the government, nor by man — but by God Himself.

And as the psalmist reminds us in Psalm 37:25,

“I have been young, and now am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.”

That means your children will not go hungry nor will you. God’s storehouse is never empty. His resources are never delayed. He has a way — even when there seems to be no way.

Don’t Let Fear Feed You — Let FAITH FILL You

The enemy wants you angry, desperate, and divided. He wants chaos in the streets. But we must not let fear turn into fury. Violence, riots, and rage will only play into the hands of those who want control. If we act in hate, we give the enemy ammunition — and we risk moving our nation closer to martial law and away from freedom.

Instead, let’s stand together in peace, prayer, and preparation. Let our FAITH, not our fear, speak for us.

Practical Ways to Prepare and Provide

While we stand on God’s promises, we must also use wisdom and take practical steps:

  1. Community Sharing: Partner with churches, neighbors, and local pantries. Pool resources, trade food, and start small community food banks.

  2. Grow What You Can: Even in apartments, you can grow herbs, lettuce, and vegetables in pots. A few seeds can yield meals.

  3. Preserve & Plan: Learn simple preservation — drying beans, canning fruit, freezing meat. Make meals stretch with soups, stews, and casseroles.

  4. Local Support: Visit local churches, mosques, and community centers — many receive surplus food directly from distributors when benefits are reduced.

  5. Faith Networks: Join prayer circles that exchange not just words, but food, rides, and hope. When faith and fellowship meet, miracles multiply.

Remember — God multiplied a little boy’s lunch of fish and bread. He can multiply yours too.

God Is Still in Control

Governments rise and fall, policies change, but God’s Kingdom never shakes. He is still on the throne. And even the most powerful men on earth are under His Divine control.

In Proverbs 21:1, we read:

“The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord; He directs it like a watercourse wherever He pleases.”

So don’t panic when leaders act unjustly. God sees it. He’s already working behind the scenes. What the enemy meant for harm, God will turn for your good.

Closing Encouragement

This is not the end — it’s an opportunity for God to show Himself mighty in your life. He’s about to remind the world that He is Jehovah Jireh — the Lord who provides.

When the world says “cut off,” Heaven says “CONNECTED.”
When man says “no,” God says “NOW.”
When fear says “give up,” faith says “LOOK UP.”

So lift your head high, hold your peace, share what you have, and stand on His promises. You are not forgotten, you are not forsaken — and your table will never be empty.

Because the same God who fed Elijah with ravens, the same God who filled the widow’s jars with oil, the same God who fed five thousand with a little boy’s lunch — is still God today.

Stay calm. Stay connected. Stay covered by faith.
God will make a way — because He always does.

Lastly, when the enemy tries to bring fear as you think about SNAP and WIC, use this perspective to defeat him with FAITH!

S.N.A.P. — “Spiritually Nourished And Prayerful”
  • Stay calm and faithful — not fearful.

  • Nourish your body and your spirit.

  • Ask God for direction and wisdom each day.

  • Pray and plan — because prayer without planning is presumption, and planning without prayer is pride.

W.I.C. — “Walk In Confidence”
  • Wait on the Lord; His timing is perfect.

  • Ignore the lies of fear and hopelessness.

  • Count your blessings, because gratitude multiplies provision.

Be encouraged in Him.
