Apostle Denzel D. Burnside, III
Denzel D. Burnside III is an Apostle, ordained to teach, equip, and demonstrate the Kingdom of God through miracles, signs, and wonders. Having endured years of clinical trauma and being a patient in more than ten crisis mental health units between the ages of 25 and 30, Denzel encountered God in the middle of his brokenness. At age 30, Jesus delivered him, marking a turning point that defined his calling. Out of that testimony, he became a firm believer that faith and therapy can walk hand in hand—that not every struggle is demonic oppression, but some require both the power of Christ and the tools of mental health care.
His ministry focuses on teaching believers how to live free, interweaving deliverance and the casting out of spirits with mental health awareness, helping people discern root causes and walk in holistic healing. In 2020, he launched Kingdom of God Ministries, a global network birthed on Clubhouse during the COVID-19 pandemic. As millions searched online for how to pray, his ministry provided prayer, teaching, and deliverance for those battling fear, grief, and confusion in unprecedented times.
Beyond the pulpit, Denzel serves as Founder and Executive Director of the North Carolina Housing Table, a statewide coalition advancing housing access, zoning reform, and equitable development policy. He brings a community-centered approach shaped by his background in campaign strategy, environmental justice, and organizational leadership. He previously led as Executive Director of WakeUP Wake County, championing sustainable land use and transportation reform, and as Associate Director of Methane Accountability at Climate Nexus, where he spearheaded national advocacy for environmental justice.
Denzel’s career also includes roles as Campaign Manager & Lobbyist at Dogwood Alliance, where he led the “Impacted Communities Against Wood Pellets” coalition, and Campaign Manager for Annette Taddeo’s State Senate race. His early work with New Florida Majority engaged climate resilience, gun violence prevention, and immigration reform. A Miami-Dade native, he holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Florida International University, studied Broadcast at Florida A&M University, and earned a Public Policy Certificate from the National Institute of Lobbying and Ethics.
Today, Denzel moves fluidly between the arenas of ministry and public leadership, committed to advancing housing justice, sustainable policy solutions, and the Kingdom of God. Whether through preaching, prayer, policy, or deliverance, he remains devoted to equipping others with the tools to overcome, to walk in freedom, and to experience the fullness of God’s power.
